are a Detroit-based musical duo consisting of Steven Stavropoulos and Tim Barrett. Their music is an earnest exploration of techno and everything it is capable of. The group performs as a live act, employing a variety of hardware instruments to craft sets that range from boosting dance floor jammers to zoned-out sonic experiences. They have shared stages with international artists and have put out releases with labels all around the world.

Live

ke thu are primarily a live act. Their setup changes based on the venue and vibe of the party. It can be as small or large as space allows. Tim and Steve are life-long musicians and instrumentalists, so improvisation is a huge part of their performance style. Throughout their time as a group, ke thu has never played the same set twice.

They have appeared on bills with members of Underground Resistance, DJ Holographic, DJ Boring, Beautiful Swimmers, Norm Talley, Delano Smith, and More. They made their festival debut in 2022 at Detroit’s Movement Festival.
